With climate change being as our generations’ peril, what are its consequences for the Alpine space as a cultural, agricultural and economical area? And how will our behaviour limit or promote the ongoing process? These are the questions visitors will face in the opening World Nature Forum in the UNESCO World Heritage Region Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch from September 24.

Gbanga, being a specialist in making your environment the foundation of a playful experience, takes the exhibition space to ask these questions through games – the ideal medium to address different outcomes of decisions you make.

One exhibition game uses a touch screen as a multiplayer debate table where in-game decisions and preferences on how to develop the region start to conflict; these clashes then need to be addressed in a playful discussion. Is it more important to develop the region economically and touristically or to safeguard a cultural heritage? In another exhibition game, powered by face recognition and location detection, players answer multiple choice questions displayed on a big screen by moving or jumping around and stopping in different answer spots. Again to underline different conceptions of climate change. Empty PET bottles act as pixels to display the questions and answers about water.

After the ceremonial opening by federal council Doris Leuthard, World Nature Forum opens its doors tomorrow Saturday, September 24.
